The Story of Breakflip
How we started
Our story began in 2017. After many years of journalism and media creation in some of the biggest companies in the video games industry (Webedia, Eclypsia…), Iris El Bazis and Thomas Renaud decided to found their own media specialising in esports and video games: Breakflip.
Strong growth
From the start of 2020, Breakflip.com enjoyed a meteoric rise to become one of the top 10 most visited websites dedicated to video game news, according to the Alexa Internet rankings. But that wasn’t all. In December of the same year, the medium reached the top position in this prestigious ranking, with an impressive average audience of between 2.5 and 3 million unique monthly visitors.
Recognition in the Industry
Over the years, Breakflip has built a strong reputation. The quality of its content and its innovative approach have attracted the attention of major industry players. Riot Games relies on Breakflip’s teams to manage its social media, which is a testament to its undeniable trustworthiness. Epic Games, for its part, entrusted the organization of its booth at the Paris Games Week 2018, a flagship event for the gaming community.

Breakflip today
Today, Breakflip has expanded its activities to meet the diverse needs of the ever-expanding video games industry. Content creation and communication, dedicated to a targeted audience, have become inseparable. Breakflip’s expertise, both in designing media projects and in understanding the young target audience, makes it an essential partner for publishers and endemic or non-endemic brands.
The company is structured into a number of specialised divisions reflecting the skills involved in media creation and coverage: Social Network Management, Tournament Organisation, Web Development, Event Management, Journalism, Media Production…. Today Breakflip is a media agency capable of creating and operating complex media strategies. It has its own media as well as its own tools for producing content (proprietary CMS, AD Pass, Brends, etc.).
